BC Rich Warlock One The Warlock features an aggressive body style, dual B.C. Rich humbucker pickups, and a 24-fret neck. The body is built from agathis wood, the neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard, and all hardware is chrome, including the one-piece adjustable bridge. A number of B.C. Rich guitars use a classic Bolt-on construction. On these instruments a neck (typically maple) is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future. B.C. Rich designed their BDSM humbucking pickups to provide a solid sound and to be durable while delivering high output. BDSM stands for Broad Dynamic Sonically Matched. Which simply means that the pickup is designed to reproduce a wide range of frequencies accurately (broad dynamic). Then they are tested and matched in pairs (Neck and Bridge) by their inherent individual and signature tonal and output characteristics to give a solidly balanced tone (sonically matched). Most of B.C. Rich body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. D'Aquist o, started his career in arch-top guitar building at the age of 17 at John D'Angelico's studio. He founded his own D'Aquist o brand after the passing of John D'Angelico and is known to have created some of the best-sounding, most sought after arch-top guitars available until his untimely death at the age of 59 in 1995. The instruments he created in his late r years are especially desired and are highly regarded as the "Holy Grail" of arch-top guitars. They are still the inspiration for many arch-top guitar builders. His creativity in arch-top guitar building is apparent in his design of the "Accutone" ebony bridge and his ebony tailpiece. Traditionally batas are ceremonial drums that are played in groups. At least three people sit, each with a different size drum, and act out "call and answer" patterns which are played on the drums. They were traditionally rope tuned, but today, through the use of state-of-the-art machinery, LP Bata Drums are wrench tuned. They are made from our specially selected, kiln dried, environmentally friendly Siam Oak and are the most precisely made batas available today. LP Bata Drums are available in three sizes: small or Oconcolo with 5" and 6-3/4" head sizes, medium or Omele/Itolele with 5-3/4" and 9" head sizes, and large or Iya with 6-1/2" and 12-1/2" head sizes. D'Aquist o, started his career in arch-top guitar building at the age of 17 at John D'Angelico's studio. He founded his own D'Aquist o brand after the passing of John D'Angelico and is known to have created some of the best-sounding, most sought after arch-top guitars available until his untimely death at the age of 59 in 1995. The instruments he created in his late r years are especially desired and are highly regarded as the "Holy Grail" of arch-top guitars. They are still the inspiration for many arch-top guitar builders. His creativity in arch-top guitar building is apparent in his design of the "Accutone" ebony bridge and his ebony tailpiece. Those innovative D'Aquisto arch-tops of the past are now revived to become part of the new history of arch-top guitars, incorporating Old World craftsmanship with 21st century technology.
